I went to a drug company sponsored talk this evening. The talk itself was quite interesting. The food and wine, however, were excellent.
Small town medicine is proving to have its charms. It's hard to articulate, but I think it's less stressful somehow.
I went to play badminton with the Grimsby Badminton Club on Tuesday. My big city skills hold up quite well. There were some elderly ladies with a remarkable amount of agility. It was quite something.

Life in Grimsby
It's been awhile.
I finished my internal medicine clerkship rotation. (I LOVE internal medicine).
I then went to Vancouver for a month. (I LOVE Vancouver). Where I ate loads of sushi (I LOVE sushi) and hung out with friends and family (I LOVE friends and family). While in Vancouver, I did 2 weeks of physiatry (I LOVE physiatry), and 2 weeks of pediatric orthopedics (Yes, I loved this also).
I lived in a house with 16 other students. It was very reminiscent of my first year in residence. I'll try to post some pictures of my trip. If nothing else, so that you may all appreciate the metrosexuality that is cousin Leo.
I'm currently in Grimsby, a town of 20,000 roughly half an hour outside Hamilton. I'm here for 6 weeks to do family medicine. I'm living on the upper floor of a house owned by an elderly couple. They are quite wonderful. It's really nice to live in a 'real' house for awhile. A house with carpets, and granite counter tops etc. I'm writing this from the Grimsby public library, which has easily surpassed any expectations I might have had for a small town library. I believe myself to be somewhat of a library connoisseur, and I give this library two thumbs up.
I'll try and be a better updater, so that you may all follow along with my desperate attempts to keep entertained in small town Ontario.
Oh, I should also mention that I bought a new bicycle. $99.99 at Canadian Tire.
